gwennap pit events

A rally was first held at Gwennap Pit on Whit Monday 1807

and has taken place annually ever since,

apart from two years in the 1820s.

Since 1967, the event has been held on Spring Bank Holiday

rather than Whit Monday.

In 2010 our Chair of District, Revd Steve Wild

thought we should hold an ecumenical service

on the Day of Pentecost and try to attract 1,000 voices to Gwennap Pit.

We have continued our Pentecost service since this date.

Please join us

You will be very, very welcome.
